Wasted my life playing video games might not really be fa but i have no idea where to post this i m not really a fa. My ex hated when i would text him while he played video games.

I m realizing now while in my early 20 s that i in fact do have an addiction problem when it comes to video games.

I ve wasted my life playing video games. I continue playing because ive poured nearly 8 years of my life into this game. Looking back at all of the summers completely missed because i was literally a basement dweller that wanted to play as many different games as possible. I ve given up almost every hobby that i ve ever had in order to play games.

I quit playing video games and this is how my life has changed since i quit playing video games including the status of my life before i quit it was a mess and what i ve accomplished since then. I was never one to get mad at him for playing video games as i understood that it s a source of relaxation and fun for people who play. Playing video games makes me procrastinate from doing important work.

The simple fact is that though i ve tried and largely succeeded to cram quality game playing time into every corner of my waking life plus a mission in kerbal space program during a particularly vivid and memorable dream i m not an outlier. It all started when i was about 10yo or so when i was given a couple of simple hand held games then atari then pc playing games like civilization and other city empire building strategic games and now spent the last few years solidly playing clash of clans on my phone i m not even sure why ive wasted so much of my time on this game in.

My current play time on my main character out of 10 max level characters is 332 days or about nearly 8000 hours of play time. Playing video games prevents me from connecting with others. I mean while it s true that i have never had a girlfriend or a close group of friends and that i spend most of my time alone i do have some acquaintances with whom i might have a beer or a shallow conversation from time to.

There are men and women whose dedication to playing video games is almost beyond belief. Ive known i had a problem for a long time. Playing video games prevents me from making life decisions.

Just realised i ve practically wasted my 20 s and now im trying to sort my life out.
